What She Does: A fashion veteran, Kay Montano (pictured left with actress, Thandie Newton) began her career as a makeup artist at only 16 years old and was given the opportunity to help with the beauty direction of i-D magazine only a year later! She is most notable for collaborating with her good friend, actress Thandie Newton (shown above), on ThandieKay, a beauty blog that aims to contribute to the conversation of beauty and diversity. Raised in west London, the purpose of the project is to explore unifying ideas and adequately represent the world of beauty, something she felt was lacking for her as a mixed-race girl.
Signature Look: Her career with makeup has possibly allowed her to grow fond of natural beauty, as her hair is often left in its natural straight look, with a middle part which creates a more casual style.
