Since 2014 crochet braids have been rising in popularity. But the crochet braids we’re seeing today are very different from the ones that were popular back in the late 90s/early 2000s. Today many are wearing crochets with more natural looking hair textures and styling them into kinky, curly, braided or straight styles.
One of the best things about crotchets is the price tag. Because the hairstyle is typically achieved using braiding hair, you may only be spending $3 – $10 a pack (perhaps $12 – $40 a head). That said, it’s hard to imagine why anyone would spend hundreds on kinky textured weaves (but they have their advantages too).
We’re all about crochets right now, so we’ve rounded up some of our favorite looks (courtesy of some fabulous vloggers) and, for your convenience, listed what type of braiding hair each vlogger used. Enjoy!

I haven’t rocked crochets since high school! Looks like it’s making a comeback.
Haha! I didn’t really know what crochets was… It’s funny and looks cool. Must try… someday.
So cheap and so cute. I really like what tastePINK did with her crochets, curls look bouncy and real!
Wish the big waves could be bought pre-waved and not have to comb out and dip in hot water.
