So much of who we are is defined by where we are geographically from–what language we speak and how we speak it, what we eat and even our tastes, our values. But in our mobilized modern world sitting still is no longer a mandate, which means the doors of our identities are wide open. As we continue to look at the Many Shades of Black, this month we’ll explore how movement impacts Black identity. We’ll take a look at Black immigration, specifically the African American experience vs the American African experience. And we’ll also look at what it means to leave everything you know behind and settle down else where. Finally, with summer right around the corner, of course we’ll explore exciting vacation destinations and the hair you can wear there.
