The best things in life are indeed free, but a lot of the essentials aren’t–housing, food, clothing.  Whether or not we want it to be, money is in fact a means to a certain level of happiness; at bare minimum it drives the happiness that comes from knowing you have a means to survive.  So if that aspect of your life isn’t in order, it’s hard to fully be at ease.

There are a lot of factors that contribute to whether or not we have money and on top of that we’re bombarded with messages everyday that tell and show us all the wonderful things we could have if we had lots of money.  So it’s easy to get overwhelmed and feel subjected to money versus being in control of it, but there are ways to get out from underneath the thumb of financial dissonance. This month our call to action is to take control of your money. We’ll be looking at how to manage your finances, the changing business of black hair and will have a little fun with faking it till you make it by looking like a million bucks.

So here’s to an opulent October.

Best,

Antonia

P.S. As always, don’t forget to follow us on Twitter and Facebook to stay up to speed and check out this month’s Watch, Read, Listen and Do
