Here’s what our favorite hair celebs were doing on Instagram this week.

Dubbed “the voice of a generation” by Dazed magazine for publicly expressing her racial and political views, @amandlastenberg shared her first mag cover photo – signature ringlets in tow.

I want to make things that have an impact on how we look at the world. I know it’s a tall glass to fill, but it’s a glass that really needs to be filled, as an African American woman.

@aliciakeys wore a decorative pair of shades this week, styling her long hair in a crowned French-braid and topped off the look with gold jewelry, one of her necklaces emblazoned with her son’s name, Egypt.

"Summertime fly!! Don't want it to end!! It's CRAZY hot in NY! Where are you? And how do u feel??"

@janellemonae made headlines this week with the rest of her Wondaland crew (including break-out star Jidenna) when they attended rallies from Philly to NYC to Chicago supporting the Black Lives Matter movement. She was spotted in Chicago with the mother of Sandra Bland in appropriate black attire and a fashionable bowler hat.

"#SandraBland's mother, Geneva Reed-Veal today at Chicago's bean. This is for her all the mother's still seeking justice. We come not as artists but as human beings first. #SayHerName #HYTB shot by: @joshmellin"

@ayeshacurry stepped out with husband Stephen Curry for the Teen Choice Awards in a sleeveless, white lapeled dress and stilettos, celebrating his nomination and their continuous date nights since the birth of their second daughter, Ryan Carson.

"Congrats my darling and yay for another mommy daddy date night. #teenchoiceawards"

My hair falls between the 4A to 4C category, so I’m always looking for the best manageable styles. I live for big, stretched hair, so I often keep it blow dried and call it a day.
