Trimming your ends is a part of every good hair regime.  Some trim every 3 – 6 months, while others only trim when needed, i.e. you notice split or knotty ends.  The general rule of thumb is to trim every season (so every three months). Vlogger Ambrosia has a great tutorial demonstrating how to trim your natural ends.
Step-by-step
What you’ll need:
- Spray bottle filled with water
- Sharp sheers
- Wide-tooth comb

This method is best done on stretched hair. It can also be done on dry already-detangled hair.
Step 1:Â section off a part of your hair.

Step 2:Â Spray the section with water and detangle with a wide-tooth comb.

Step 3:Â Use your fingers to gently smooth hair and remove any shed hair.

Step 4: Trim away with a sharp pair of shears.

Step 5: Twist the hair once trimmed to keep hair stretched and to rock a convenient Twist Out once you’re done trimming.

Step 6: Repeat this process until you’ve trimmed all of your hair.

Step 7:Â When your hair is completely dry, take out the twists and voila!
