Why read review after review when you can just read one? We’ve “combed” the web to get the verdict on Dove Hair Therapy Damage Solutions.

Dove is dedicated to keeping our skin and hair soft, smooth and moisturized. So, it’s unsurprising that Dove Intensive Repair Shampoo & Conditioner, one of the brand’s popular hair care products, promises to help revive and revitalize damaged hair. Dove guarantees our hair will be up to five times smoother in just one wash of Intensive Repair Shampoo & Conditioner. Let’s see if it lives up to its claims.

main takeaway

It seems like everyone who’s tried Dove Intensive Repair Shampoo & Conditioner loves the dynamic duo! If your hair is damaged, both are definitely products to consider. For anyone who has brittle, frizzy, rough split ends, these products moisturize and tame your hair (but of course, you should always trim your split ends). Users claim to really love the smell and the way the shampoo and conditioner leaves their hair feeling. And apparently, Dove Intensive Repair Shampoo & Conditioner works on natural, relaxed, tex-laxed and even weaved hair. However, a recent change to the line’s formula has left a few people unhappy. Some people claim the shampoo and conditioner leaves their hair really greasy after using the conditioner (not the shampoo).

As someone transitioning, I recommend both the shampoo and conditioner. When I was still relaxing my hair, I gave the Dove Intensive Repair line a try because my hair felt really dry. After using it, my hair felt AMAZING! It smelled really pleasant and was silky and moisturized.

Dove Damage Therapy Intensive Repair shampoo effectively and gently cleans my hair. It moisturizes my hair and leaves it feeling very soft. Both the shampoo and conditioner rinse away without a residue. I love that the products aren’t oily or heavy on the hair. I can tell that the three months of using Dove Damage Therapy Intensive Repair has been very good for my hair. Along with some other products, Dove Damage Therapy Intensive Repair helped me to get my hair back on the right track. Now my hair looks more thick, healthy and shiny. I happen to have very kinky, African-American hair, but I believe that this product can be good for many different hair types.

The shampoo gently and effectively cleanses my hair and gives a nice smooth touch to my hair in one wash only. As far as the results are concerned, I’ve felt my hair to go much softer and smoother with every wash. This shampoo has helped a lot in taking care of my hair by giving them an even and smoother texture, even when I don’t get time to regularly apply hair oil.

The intensive repair shampoo and conditioner have a thick, creamy—yet lightweight—consistency. When applied, the conditioner had just enough slickness to make my coarse hair manageable. The Dove conditioner did not leave any of those annoying residues on my hair that is sometimes present in products for damaged hair. My hair did have a bit of a luster after using the Dove Intensive Repair hair products and the bounce in my hair was back, once blow-dried. Both the dove intensive repair shampoo and conditioner have a mild, fresh scent. The shampoo had fruity notes, but the conditioner did not have an overpowering fragrance and could be used by men and women.

After using the Dove samples of shampoo/conditioner, I was hooked. After shampooing and using only ONE conditioner application, my hair was manageable, soft, non-frizzy, and best of all, I had curls again! And not only that – it made me look like I had MASSES of hair, instead of the skinny, sad, EMBARRASSING, rat-tail I’d had hanging down my back before.

After trying countless conditioners from the cheapest to the most expensive, this has to be the absolute best I have ever tried. I have been a loyal customer of this conditioner for over 2 years now. My hair needs change as the weather changes but this conditioner has been with me through extreme cold winters, rainy springs, hot and muggy summers, and cool falls.

The absolute best shampoo I have ever used! I am multicultural and my hair is naturally curly, for the longest time I couldn’t find a shampoo that wouldn’t tangle my hair and leave in knots. Dove’s Intensive Repair shampoo leaves my hair tangle free while washing, it is light weight and nice fragrance. I don’t know what I would do without it!”
