product review: garnier fructis triple nutrition line

Why read review after review when you can just read one? We’ve “combed” the web to get the verdict on the Garner Fructis Triple Nutrition Line.

The Garnier Fructis Triple Nutrition Line contains five products: Fortifying Shampoos (creamy or clear), a Fortifying Conditioner, a Multi-Use Dry Oil Spray, a 3-minute Undo Dryness Reversal Deep Conditioner and a Nutrient Spray. They all contain three essential nourishing oils—olive, avocado and almond. They claim to deeply penetrate dry damaged hair and restore hair’s shine, strength and smoothness but does the line deliver on its promise?

verdict

Users of this product line have mixed feelings about it. Of the products in the line, many women of color tried the fortifying creamy shampoo and conditioner, which seem to work on different hair types. But very few actually liked the clear Garnier Fructis Triple Nutrition Fortifying Shampoo. Some found it to be extremely drying. The 3-minute Undo Dryness Reversal Deep Conditioner and the Dual Action Nutrient Spray works wonders for relaxed hair as well as anyone whose hair is dry or dehydrated. The Triple Nutrition Miracle Dry Oil (for hair, body and face), appears to be the only stand out product in the line, whether used on hair or skin.

This line might be one to skip, given the other options out there. But if price and availability is more an important factor for you or if you have chemically treated hair, Garnier might be a convenient option. If anything, your hair might benefit from the essential oils.

If you are intending on using the conditioner, PLEASE use the shampoo. I know, shampoos dry your hair out, they’ve got sulfates, and all that good stuff. But unfortunately, the system is made to work in conjunction with one another. They KNOW the sulfates are bad for you, which is why the conditioner works the way it does. If you want to get the best results, you’re gonna have to suck it up and use it. Honestly, if you’re expecting a miracle worker out of the Garnier line, you’ll probably be disappointed. BUT, it does make a difference…and it certainly didn’t hurt my hair.

The Common Sense Review

I started using this product when I had protein overload. It makes my hair very soft and I am able to detangle. But, there are 2 things that I don’t like. First, the formula is very thick. The bottle is a squeeze bottle with a small hole, and this makes it very hard to get the conditioner out of the bottle….Second, the conditioner does not have a lot of slip to it. My hair needs to be soaking wet for me to apply it. Otherwise, it doesn’t spread well, and I have to use a large amount on each section of my hair.

…my hair was super clean after I used [the] shampoo. It smelled great light and not quite fruity but more of a fresh sweet smell. And a little went a long way. I concentrated on my scalp more then anything, course it did leave my hair feeling dry because of the sulfate but I was ok with it that day. I followed up with the Triple Nutrition conditioner, which also smelled really good as all Garniers products tend to smell great. As I used the conditioner my hair felt instantly smooth and it made my detangling process a lot easier. This Product had great slip. As I washed out the conditioner my hair felt and looked great. So I will be using it a second time just to make sure I 100% love it.”

Smells good, made my hair soft and shiny after one use. I washed with conditioner only instead of a combo with the shampoo and it worked well. Curls bounce back with this; lol like your curls become alive. Yay shiny hair!! Really good for the price

I have relaxed hair. This shampoo is awesome! I recently decided to only use products that are under $10 and that I can buy in a store instead of online. So the shampoo kind of sucked at first. It seemed to just dry my hair out. I’ve learned to give things a couple of tries so I used it again. Around the third time, it was great. It didn’t strip my hair. It actually felt like I had just conditioned it. I always follow up with the matching conditioner.

I have curly, EXTREMELY thick hair. The unusual snag is that my scalp is oily and my hair is coarse and a bit on the dry side, so most conditioning products I use tend to simply move the dirt around. Styling products usually add the the problem. This shampoo actually cleans my scalp and leaves my hair manageable, which is a rare combination at any price.
