Why read review after review when you can just read one? We’ve combed the web to get the verdict on Pro Naturals Moroccan Argan Oil.

the verdict

Buoyant in texture with a subtle, cotton blossom fragrance, Pro Naturals Moroccan Argan Oil excels in enriching curls’ natural luster while promoting healthy, exuberant hair. While the product boasts heat protectant properties, I recommend using minimal heat for maximum assurance as my 4a,b & c textured hair fell wispy and thin. For optimal use, apply as a gloss serum to enhance styling and/or pair with Pro Naturals Moroccan Argan Oil shampoo, conditioner and hair mask to achieve absolute hair revival benefits. Heads up, the entire system cost $129, so this may be one of those “tax-refund-splurges” if you’re curious on the results of the  full line. Bottom line: The Pro Naturals Moroccan Argan Oil Treatment is best used as a gloss serum and hair nourishment aid for  4a,b, & c hair types, rather than a heat protectant as advertised.

I had ordered some Pro Naturals Moroccan Hair Oil but didn’t try it out until a few weeks later because I had bought another hair treatment at the same time and didn’t want to mix it up. I realize my mistake now, I should have ditched the hair treatment and got started immediately on Pro Naturals. After using the hair treatment and seeing very little progress, I tried Pro Naturals and observed the changes in my hair. I have course, thick hair that doesn’t do well with heat styling tools, but Pro Naturals has seen to that! My hair is now smoother, shinier and more resilient. I have less breakages and a lot more luster!

I bought the oil first then then bought the complete hair repair system. I would recommend the complete system but if you can only afford the oil this oil works wonders. I use it right after straightening my hair and it eliminates all frizz and really brings out the shine in my hair.

…In addition to my hair I now use Argan Oil as part of my skincare routine – after cleansing and toning and applying the Intense night repair cream (Monsia Skincare) I apply the Argan Oil to my neck and gently around my eyes. It is so soothing and I have noticed that my neck skin has tightened a little. At 70 this is definitely a bonus!

My hair normally gets this dry, thirsty, brittle feeling after dyeing – which sends me into a total panic – and my scalp will get irritated or flaky. But not so with this product. It has a very light consistency but the oil itself is very potent, and my hair has maintained lustre and volume despite my multiple dyeings. My favorite way to use this oil though is as a heat protectant – ironing my hair with a few drops of this distributed throughout it leaves my hair looking commercial-worthy shiny and healthy, and I love it!

I didn’t notice any strengthening perks, but I have been using this treatment on both towel-dry and dry hair (the former, to help style and condition; the latter, for finishing) and have been very happy with the results.  While I am still very seriously side-eyeing the company and its products because of the fishy, ambiguous ingredients list (and subsequent search results re: sketchy branding), I have to admit the product itself is pretty great.  I don’t like giving negative reviews (despite their popularity, it seems), and this isn’t a negative product review at all — as I’ve said, the product itself is very nice.  If you are near one of the retail locations, I definitely recommend checking it out in person.

I use this product every day to make my hair nice and soft. My hair tends to get really dry and this stuff fixes that immediately without making my scalp flakey or my hair sticky.
