What are take down services?

Takedown services involve carefully removing your current protective style—whether braids, twists, cornrows, weave or crochets—while minimizing breakage and tangling. It’s the first (and often most time-consuming) step to your next hair style, and we make it easier by handling it for you. This service can also include light detangling and a trim.

We remove most protective styles including box braids, knotless braids, twists, cornrows, and more. If you’re unsure, just ask during booking.

Can I book a wash too?

Because not all the stylists on our platform offer at-home wash services, you can book a wash separately. Book the takedown first and then book the wash.

How should I prep for the appointment?

Just have a space ready for your stylist to work. No need to start the takedown—we’ve got it covered.
