Ariane Roberts of awesome hair site BlackNaps.org has reached close to 50% of her goal with only nine days left in her Kickstarter campaign. Roberts is putting together a wonderful project for young girls with natural hair, but really for anyone who feels they fall outside of what society considers “normal.”
Roberts writes, “Inspired by stories of children that were told that their natural hair was inappropriate for school, I have decided to create a children’s book that will encourage children to love their curls.” She’s raising $7,000 to cover “the expense of Printing, Book Layout Design Services, Editing, ISBN numbers/registration, and Shipping.”
