We’ve had bowl cuts on the brain lately. So we decided to see if it were possible to make this already edgy look even edgier. If you really want to stand out this winter, here’s a little hairspiration.
play with color
Go for a bold fantasy hue, light and fun or pitch black and dramatic.
Or mix and match with colors and add streaks or burst of colors in unexpected places.
go asymmetrical
Although by definition a bowl cut should be evenly cut, there’s always room to break the rules. Try an uneven geometric cut for a space-age look. Or be subtly asymmetrical with just a slightly slanted bang.
play with length
Bowl cuts can come in a variety of lengths. There’s the flapper-esque above-the-eybrow cut; the bushy right at the eyelashes cut (which may get annoying after a while); and if you’re looking to really push the envelope, you can always try the bowl cut meets mullet look.
