In the spirit of standing apart, we’re taking a look at stand-out hair styles this week and who better to kick us off than our favorite hair and fashion icon, Solange Knowles. In March she showed everyone just how cool she is in an interview and photo shoot with Harper’s Bazaar. The photos, shot by Julia Noni play up the song writer’s signature bold colors and fun prints, while the interview reveals her precociousness and levelheadedness about her career, son and songwriting. She shares with Harper’s:
Everyone talks about how, in your 30s, all of these growing pains transition into wisdom and you feel more self-assured and confident, but I think I had a bit of a jump-start on that at 27.
…For the first time in my life, I’m basing every decision around the idea of whether I want to do it or if I think it will be inspiring. And that’s paid off for me.
