Self-dubbed “Princess of Hip Hop Soul” Ashanti became known for her sultry and sweet soprano voice.
Her hit song “Foolish,” starring love interest Terrence Howard, has Ashanti torn between staying or leaving her flashy boyfriend who supposedly works in construction. But while she can’t make up her mind about her boo, she decidedly keeps hair shiny and sleek through out the video. In one scene she pairs her flat-ironed middle part with a jeweled headpiece and a boho halter top to dress up her simple half-up, half-down hairstyle. While in a dinner scene she wears a glossy bun and styled it with a a plunging neckline for drama.
To add a bit of an old school touch to your look, take a note from Ashanti and frame your face with long strands on either side of pulled-back hair.
