If you’ve had the pleasure of experiencing HBO’s fantasy drama, hit series, Game of Thrones then you’re no stranger to rising star, Nathalie Emmanuel, the woman behind Daenerys Targaryen’s curly haired translator, Missandei. Born and raised in Essex, England to Caribbean English parents (her father is half Saint Lucian and half English, her mother is Dominican), Nathalie began her love affair with the arts as a young girl starring in school plays during her attendance at the legendary, all girls, preparatory academies, St. Hilda’s & Westcliff, while studying song and dance.

At only 26 years old, Nathalie boasts a lengthy resume, beginning with her role as Young Nala in the West End’s 1997 production of The Lion King and a notable television debut in the soap opera Hollyoaks, where she played Sasha Valentine, a troubled character facing prostitution and heroin addiction. Nathalie also made guest appearances on television shows, Casualty and Misfits. Not just one for the tube, Nathalie is also making her mark on the silver screen. After her film introduction in 2012’s Twenty8k, the British beauty has made tremendous strides, co- creating box office magic in her most recent film, this year’s bestselling opener, Fast and Furious 7 and headlining the sequel to The Maze Runner: Scorch Trials as heroine, Harriet, coming to theaters late 2015!
