By far one of the most eagerly anticipated movies on the year is almost here! We LOVED it the first time around and now Director Malcolm D. Lee returns to write and direct this sequel to his directorial debut. After nearly 15 years apart, Taye Diggs, Nia Long, Morris Chestnut, Harold Perrineau, Terrence Howard, Sanaa Lathan, Monica Calhoun, Melissa De Sousa and Regina Hall reprise their career-launching roles in The Best Man Holiday, the long-awaited next chapter to the film that ushered in a new era of comedy. When the college friends finally reunite over the Christmas holidays, they will discover just how easy it is for long-forgotten rivalries and romances to be ignited.

Set in northwest London, British novelist, Zadie Smith’s brilliant tragicomic novel “NW” (Penguin Books) follows four locals—Leah, Natalie, Felix, and Nathan—as they try to make adult lives outside of Caldwell, the council estate of their childhood. In private houses and public parks, at work and at play, these Londoners inhabit a complicated place, as beautiful as it is brutal, where the thoroughfares hide the back alleys and taking the high road can sometimes lead you to a dead end. Depicting the modern urban zone—familiar to city-dwellers everywhere—NW is a quietly devastating novel of encounters, mercurial and vital, like the city itself. Pick up a copy today!

British songbird, Laura Mvula first caught our ear a couple months ago, when she performed her single “She” live on NBC’s Today Show. We love everything about her unique sound feel compelled to liken her to a hybrid of Tracy Chapman and Bob Dylan, although Mvula really just defies categorization. Her debut album “Sing to the Moon” is available for purchase on iTunes. We just love seeing amazing talent continue to pour out of the U.K.

Become a gourmet Chef! When we first heard about Blue Apron Meals, we became giddy with sheer excitement. It’s a new service that takes the concept of Fresh Direct (grocery delivery) one step further by supplying all the perfectly measured ingredients you need to prepare a gourmet meal, right to your doorstep. The ingredients are sourced directly from farms and you get to learn exciting new recipes each week! Definitely a great option for those that are on-the-go, but still enjoy a well-made meal.
