The holidays are here, which means holiday parties are in play. For those not sure of how to spruce up their look for Yuletide festivities, we’ve got you covered.

 embellish a little

Spread a bit of winter sparkle this holiday season with a dash of clustered crystal that is sure to complete a look of festive elegance. From an old-Hollywood-inspired miniature rosette bun to a dramatic halo of Swarovski brilliance, embellished styles are a go to look for any holiday celebration.

Un’ruly tip: Avoid hair snags by opting for hair jewelry with coated ends and combs to decrease hair pull and tear during application.

get up

Whether elaborately arranged in a towering beehive or tied back in a simple top knot, the up do is an instant, holiday classic! From braids to extensions, two tone color to ninja buns (as seen above worn by Thandie Newton), the possibilities are endless.

Un’ruly Tip: Avoid hair breakage by opting for a firm (not too tight) hold and styling like so no more than two to four times a month. Check out a couple of our favorite looks below.

While pop star Rihanna may have debuted this look a few years back, we still find ourselves catching thrills over the now infamous, rose red hue. Bold and sexy with a warm edge, it’s the ideal choice for a winter’s night on the town.

Un’ruly Tip: Protect your hair by applying a wig or weave as an alternative to exposing your own tresses to harsh bleach treatments.

make a wave

Dance in to the New Year with an ode to the past! Strikingly sophisticated, the finger wave has been a retro favorite dating back to the early 20th century and is sure to add a glamorous, polished tone to any party ensemble.

Un’ruly Tip: Slick down edges with an all natural alternative to traditional gel, i.e., Shea Moisture Curling Souffle or Eden BodyWorks Coconut Shea Control Edge Glaze.
